Garbology

Authors Note: Haley and I wrote this story in Language arts. It’s about a pink princess throwing a birthday bash. We wanted to write a story about a princess then we ust added stuff to it.

Once upon a time there was a Princess named Andrea who always wore pink. No one could ever remember her name so she wore a name tag 24/7. One day she decided to go outside and play in the forest. On her way out she tripped on a twig and had her knee started oozing icky red blood. She had o hop back to the castle. Andrea’s mother screamed when she saw her and quickly ran to get the gauze to wrap her knee up.  As soon as her knee was all wrapped up she went to town shopping for her mother’s birthday. She decided to get chocolate cupcakes that had happy birthday signs on them.  For she decided to throw her mom a birthday ball.
At the day of the birthday ball she decided to make her Mother a birthday banner but she had one big problem. Her problem was she had a tiny paint brush and a huge sign. I’m sensing a dilemma there. But she managed to do it though it 2 hours record time. Quickly after she made a fast run to the store to pick up chex mix because that was her mother’s favorite food.  Also she bought pink erasers to hand out after the party. While at the ball she met a prince who gave her a magnet to symbolize his love for her. The magnet even had hid number on it. The next day she called him and they eloped to Vegas and they lived happily ever after.

Music

Music can fill you up or bring you down. Each song has a story. Not all are good sometimes just listening to the lyrics makes you feel sad. Also to think that a real life person is going through this can make it worse. Not saying all songs are sad and make you feel down. Justin Bieber always makes me feel better if I listen to him. Everyone has their own taste of music to express them self or it could just be their culture. Music brings people together whether they know it or not.

Hundredth Dove

This story was not one of my favorites. Most of the time when I was reading it I felt befuddled. The story went in all different directions. Over all though when I went through and re-read it a couple times I believe I got the moral of the story. What I consider the moral of the story to be is you have to think what you do before you do it because it might seem like the right thing to do in the moment but it might just end up hurting you in the end. Have you ever made the wrong choice in your life? Did it seem like the right thing to do then? Do you regret it now? 16% of people regret doing something in their childhood that has affected them now. Are you one of those people?

In this story I was pretty confused the first time I read it. Questions came to my mind. Was the fowler going to do this awful deed for the king? (Killing 100 doves for his wedding feast) At the begging I respected his decision of doing it to serve the one he praised but then I thought, “Yes that seemed like the right thing to do at the moment but now it’s looking not right.” Who would kill all those animals?

The queen to be did not however want to do this. She wanted to save all the animals from being eaten. In my opinion would be the right thing to do. The fowler refused and said I serve my King. Loyalty comes first. I then made a connection when I believed crucial information came into the story, “She was neat as a bird, slim and fair with black eyes. There was quiet in her but restlessness too. He had never seen anyone so beautiful.” Gold ring glistening on her hand. I believe this was vital information because there has to be connection with her in the birds later in this story. Therefore the name the Hundredth Dove.

My prediction came true the queen was the hundredth dove the gold ring sparkled from the foot. She offered him gold, fame and fortune, and love from the queen to save all the doves. He said no servo was his motto and he must do right for the King. He killed the queen bird. There was no wedding. In the end I think he made a wrong choice in the moment and regrets it. Thinking he was doing the right thing when it was all wrong in the end. Now for the rest of his life he will have to live with his regret. No love from the queen just to know he killed her. To me I wouldn’t be able to live with myself that would be my biggest regret. What is your biggest regret?
