Author’s note: We had to write about a word
from one of the people’s word list at our reading tables. I decided on the word
Mom because it’s easy to write about for me.
When you’re a teenager
you either love your mom, hate her, or just ignore her. It all depends on your situation.
Last year I never told my mom anything an ignored her. Now I regret that time I
missed with her. I thought I was “to cool.” In reality I was just being a brat
to her; to get what I want. This year my Mom has helped me get through so many
issues. She’s my rock. The one I can always lean on.
Sometimes girls
are afraid to share things with their mom. Afraid of what they might think;
think they might hate them. If you really think about it they were all there
too. All teenagers trying to figure everything out. Just give it a chance, your
Mom is probably the one who will help you through all of it too.
