He's With Me

    

             I think the moral of this story is bad things might keep happening but you need to keep your head held high till that one great thing comes along He's With Me was that book where everything kept going bad for Lexie till that one great thing came along. It was a mediocre book. The book made me bemused a lot.                                                                                                                                                                                                               It had 6 main characters Lexie, Jake, Riley, Colin, Sally, and Bree. The story takes place in summer. (At the summer loge.)Lexie has a twin brother named Colin, whose best friend is Jake. Who Lexie is secretly in love with. Bree the most popular girl in school has a crush on Jake, who hates Bree wants her to stop liking him. So, Jake asks Lexie to be his pretend girlfriend to make Bree stop liking him. At the end, of the beginning of the story Bree's best friend Sally comes along (she goes to summer lodge too) and goes on a fake double date with her boyfriend, and Lexie and Jake. Bree finds out and makes Sally her ex best friend. Then Bree makes Sally's boyfriend dump her. Then Sally and Lexie become best friends. Colin has a crush on Sally who soon starts to like him. One day after a couple weeks of the lodge Lexie is waiting for Jake to come and take her home, Riley is standing at the bake racks (where Lexie is). Riley and Lexie talk and Jake gets jealous. The next day Riley joins summer lodge so he can be with Lexie. It's the middle end of the story now and Bree is getting pretty mad about Jake not wanting to date her. So she makes a plan to sabotage their relationship. She steels Lexie's swimsuit so she couldn't be on Jake's pool volleyball team. So Lexie has to call her mom to bring her new red bikini that still had the tag on it. Did I mention Lexie is uncomfortable with her body so she gets all paranoid? She ends up getting every ones attention if you know what I mean. Then she scored the winning score in pool volleyball and her and Jake kissed even though they were fake dating. Lexie freaked out and ran and hid in the girl’s locker room. She waited till she thought everyone left. Right as she was about to make her escape she heard two people come into the locker room a boy and girl. It was Bree and Riley. Bree was talking to Riley about the payment for pretending to like Lexie to get her away from Jake. In the end Jake realizes he is in love with Lexie.Lexie and Jake becomes real boyfriend and girlfriend.

Over all I would give this book 2 out of 5 stars. Just because it had a excellent ending. Everything else just made me baffled.
